I always find it sort of difficult to determine the cause of search 
failures.  One thing that I will point out is that it looks like the 
rwhois client isn't part of the problem.  Try telnetting to your server 
and entering the query.  You will almost certainly get the same result.

As for why the search didn't work, there are a number of possibilities:

1) The indexing, for whatever reason, didn't index your data in the way 
you expected.  You should be able to find either that exact string in an 
index file, or the zero-filled version of it.

2) There is a search bug in rwhoisd-1.5.9.3.  I made some changes to the 
indexer in these last few releases.  I did test them, but my testing is 
hardly exhaustive.
