IRIS.... for the reasons I previously posted. I have not changed my 
position one whit nor have I seen any arguments over the past few weeks to 
that weaken my convictions here.

It is increasingly clear that the direction the IESG has taken with domain 
name industry protocols is based on a non port 80 <sigh> XML query response 
mechanisms.  PROVREG being the other case in point.

I'm sufficiently satisfied that a client IRIS implementation meets A. the 
WG documented requirements B. whatever the domain name industry(s), and I 
might add the emerging Global ENUM system may need in the future.
