That would work, but I guess it's not pretty.
You could return an iris-core <response> element. That would give you
all the error codes and the normalization and data separation. If you
wanted to narrow it down a little further, you could return an element
of the type "resultSetType" (e.g. <resultSet>) from iris-core.
